If you need step by step instructions then I highly suggest you buy a Haynes or Chiltons manual for your car. It will teach you how to replace the trans mount and just about anything else on the car. Ebay sells them. Alex

IF the problem hasn't actually been confirmed .. Run it by Main Street Amoco and have the mounts checked .. Only takes a couple minutes - they should know the procedure.

Brake checking is surest method - firmly holding brake and reviving engine with transmission in drive - then same in reverse - engine rocking excessively is a good indication a mount has failed .. ‘IF’ it is indeed a failed mount - it can be located at that point as well. Pretty simple test!
