My car died suddenly and will not start it will turn over but Doesn’t fire coukd it be the crank position sensor

What is your question?

It sometimes will fire after you’ve cranked on it for several minutes and the battery starts getting weak.. my husband said it’s getting gas just no spark...could it be the crank position sensor or would it be something else ?

What makes this problem better or worse?
