Did you prime the master cylinder when you installed it? Search youtube on how to do it.

IF you started out with leaking brake lines... Why in the hell did you replace the master cylinder? .. Have you got any idea just how much bleeding is needed to purge all the air from new brake lines?? .. It would have much better and cheaper to have a mechanic fix the brake lines! Sorry but that's just the way it is...
