every few weeks, sometimes days, lights and horn flash for no reason, day and night, this is first time car wont start, have replaced distributor, and fuel pressure is over 50 psi, cranks good ,has spark ,no-start. 90% sure its security system. (p/s do not need, who wonts to steal a 1997 150,000 miles car..
How long has your 1997 Nissan Pathfinder had this problem?
have had problems with security system for years

It is likely an aftermarket alarm system - typically when alarm is active - the engine will not *crank*.. Recommend checking compression - failing timing belt may have jumped drive or driven sprockets resulting in out of time engine - - spark and fuel pressure testing results would not be affected by this - as you stated.. The good news > While the 3.3L V/6 is listed as an interference engine - I have ‘never’ had a problem with internal engine damage caused by a failed timing belt!
