Why is my brake & battery light on the dash?

What is your question?

I've checked charging system (12.9v), I've checked brake fluid level & my emergency brake is off. But both lights are on my dash, and wont go out

Alternator output at the battery terminals needs to be at 'least' 13.5 volts!.. Ideally 14 to 14.5 volts!! Your reading of >(12.9v) is the reason those lights are on!.. Yes the brake light too!!! .. Test fuses but more importantly..Check belt condition and tension, IF all that's ok, replace alternator!!!! *IF planing on keeping vehicle* Suggest NAPA 'S - Power Supreme line!! Part # 138967...
