High pitched loud noise coming from inside my car when I turn the heat on.

I have a 2004 Nissan Murano that has a high pitched loud noise whenever I turn the heat on. When I turn the heat off it sounds like it’s winding down like maybe a fan? Sounds like it comes from the glove box area possibly.

What makes this problem better or worse?

Worse when I turn the heat on and better when I turn the heat off
