what would cause all of my instrument warning lights to come on while driving, the radio to shut off and the engine to shut down?

What is your question?

While driving, the dash waring lights come on, the radio turns off and the engine quits. When I turn the key off and back on, the engine starts and runs normal. There is no warning when this will happen. Several times, the radio turns off and back on and 3 times in one day the trip odometer was reset without me touching the reset knob.

What makes this problem better or worse?

It does not matter if the engine is hot or cold.
