I have a 07 Nissan Frontier LE 4x4 that has a loud clicking sound upon starting

I have a 07 Nissan Frontier LE 4x4 that has a loud 5-8 second clicking sound upon starting the car and also does the same thing when I move any of the temperature or fan controls sometimes. It sounds like the clicking noise is coming from either behind the control knobs or glove box. Any idea what is causing this or what the cure might be. Thanks Seldon Knowles
