My car has a blown head gasket, bad thermostat, bad radiator and it over heats. It's drivable but only short distances. like 30 mins. Im a college student with no money. What should I do?

Sounds like a good deal of money is needed to get the car in shape. If you don't have the money and don't need a car, I would get rid of the car. It's a 10 year old car, that new was not a great car.
Has a 'mechanic' diagnosed this overheating problem and determined it actually has a blown head gasket?.. Reason I ask is, the "bad thermostat, bad radiator" is more than enough to cause the over-heating trouble!... Car in pretty good shape otherwise?... Is this the 4 or 6 cylinder engine?
its a 4 cylinder. We took it to firestone. it has been starting up kinda funny too after we JUST fixed a leaky valve a month before this all went down. My car would violently shake and convulse like it was having a seizure. So we fixed the valve. It stopped doing that but now it over heats. I could smell what seemed to be nail polish in my car. It was a ssweet, distinct smell and my heater wasnt blowing out heat.
It just feels like a waste because i dont have a cracked block or anything. Its my first car. I would love to have a better car though. We took it to the dealer and they offered to trade but they had a crap focus and another Nissan.
