What is your question?
Two days ago I replaced the front passenger side strut/shock assembly on my '01 nissan altima which, up until then, the car started up like clockwork. When I went to test drive vehicle upon completion of the project, it wouldn't start at all. All the lights come on when I turn the key but no turnover or response from starter at all. I thought perhaps I may have accidentally knocked loose the electrical harness for some wired connection to that affect. After checking and confirming all connections I still get nothing in terms of turnover and starting but when the key is left in on position, there is a rapid ticking, like a timer, coming from what seems to be the fluid pan.
My apologies, this is my first time on this forum and of course that kind of information should've been included in the details. I did try to jump it and it reacted the exact same way with all– lights on but zero result with engaging starter. I had also swapped out the battery for a new one from another vehicle with the same result. For the sake of clarity, that ticking I'm hearing is not when I crank the key in attempts to engage the starter. It happens when the key is just turned to the on position for power Such as for the purpose of rolling the windows or the radio and will continue ticking until I remove the key. If this is what you are talking about then again I apologize. My knowledge base is limited , hence the reason I seek advice. I will attempt to jumpstart again. thanks so much for the response, I truly appreciate it. Should jump starting fail, I respectfully request any optional input . Thanks again
With a 12 volt test light.. Test every fuse that you can find... If it even looks like a fuse.. Test it!!! ..Key on.. . http://youtu.be/G07TrPjn8hI
