it has cracks in hoses and the MAF sensor is bad could that cause rough idle
What makes this problem better or worse?
its been that way since i bought it last june

Hello, if you know that you had cracks in hoses -- such as hoses that can allowed unmetered air into the intake -- and you know you have a Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor that is "bad", then yes -- rough idle can result. A MAF sensor that is reading incorrectly can compromise the fuel to air ratio and cause performance issues. All that said -- other things can too! And testing is needed to verify what is going on and what is needed to repair the vehicle.
FIRST thing to do is replace the failed hoses then proceed from there.. It is very possible that may eliminate any other repair needs..
This is especially true if the *large rubber intake hose* has any cracks or other damages!!
