Car stalls and dies when I slow down to stop or go around a car.

They were known for bad ignition distributor ,I believe there's a recall on distributor..

Distributor been checked before and appears ok although there was a problem with a connector. Also should mention there's a strong smell from gas when I get out after going somewhere.
