When I turned the fan switch in smoke came out. switch problem or fan motor ?

Thank you. I will try your suggestions. Hopefully it is something simple! Love this car and have had no problems til this. Drive it only in summer months so heating element never used.

where did the smoke come from,where at?switch area,blower motor area?
