What is your question?
So, I just finished putting my engine back together. I have an 05 mitsubishi outlander with a 2.4 L 4 cylinder. Here's what I've replaced: Pistons Piston Rings Rod bearings main bearings thrust bearings head gasket valves timing belt tensioner pully vvt solenoid starter motor fuel filter Last night after I finally got it back together and tried to start it up. It runs for maybe 3 seconds with loud random squeaking and then just dies. It almost sounds like the piston rings get stuck or something. I know the timing was all lined up before I started it up. Any suggestions of possible issues? Thanks
What makes this problem better or worse?
full throttle
How long has your 2005 Mitsubishi Outlander had this problem?
a day
Any indication from dash instrumentation that there is indeed oil pressure when the engine is running - even if only for a few seconds? (Oil pressure light turn off - as it should) ?
There are no indications of good or bad oil pressure displayed on the dash that I can recall. There is no oil pressure gauge on the dash at all in fact.
*ALL vehicles* have either an oil pressure light - OR - an oil pressure gauge! â–ªï¸https://repairpal.com/repair-shops â–ªï¸ Good luck with it!
Right. What I'm saying is there's no gauge to monitor actual oil pressure and the oil light is not illuminated.
Yeah, I figured that. I don't have an oil pressure gauge to reference unfortunately. Are you suspecting an issue with the pump?
