Timing belt broke. What are the odds that the valves are bent? Worth it to fix?

Only one way to find out is to replace defective componets and start the engine! Last one I did turned out just fine! It does not always bend valves ect. After parts are replaced and you are told it has mechanical damage, go and listen to it yourself to see if it actually has this damage!! Tell the repair shop to start it up and see if it is missing or making a noise. I say it will be ok! However it can bend valves. If shop has a bore scope can look at pistons to see if any contact with valves has occured. Look for yourself. Also engine can be turned manually/carefully to feel if contact is being made, if so valve/piston damage very possible. Wish it were in my shop would be glad to show you exactly what i am talking about!

run a compression check on the engine then youll know for sure if it will be worth fixing

PULL THE VALVE COVERS TO BE 100% SURE,THE VALVES WILL BE VERY LOOSE.THIS HAS BEEN NOTED THAT THERE IS A MOST LIKELY CHANCE OF BENT VALVES IN THE AUTO DATA BOOK
