What is your question?
I had a hard time getting the car to accelerate then it started blowing white smoke from the tail pipe. I stopped at a gasoline station to find that the oil had a yogurt like consistency. I had a change oil right there and then. I was able to drive home but the problem persisted until morning. I took the car to the shop. So far: - No trouble codes were found - 4 faulty spark plugs were replaced - Idle is okay - Compression test turned out okay It has been a week but the guys at Mitsubishi service still don't know what exactly is wrong... Car is Lancer EX GTA 2013 model

By your discription we know the oil was very 'viscous' (yogurt like consistency) but what color was the oil or what flavor yogurt? .. Was the oil level overfull? .. Did the temperature gauge indicate the engine was getting hotter than normal? .. Was the coolant level still FULL? .. 'White' smoke from exhaust is indicative of 'excessive' (raw) fuel or coolant burning through the combustion chambers .. I feel sure the repair facility mechanics have already performed the usual test, i.e. .. Full scan test .. Combustion leak test .. Cylinder leak down test .. Cooling system pressure test .. Very difficult for anyone to diagnose without vehicle present for actual hands-on testing! .. Maybe have another repair shop check it out... Good luck! http://repairpal.com/repair-shops
Thanks for the response! The oil was dark. Probably a color between black and dark brown. Before this, the oil level was normal, no overheating, coolant level normal. Right now they said they're testing VVT. I am not sure if that is actually appropriate. I am thinking of taking it a different shop if they still don't know what's wrong by 1st week of January.
