Hello, when you have a flashing check engine light, it indicates that there is an engine misfire. This should be corrected before attempting to drive the car further, as other damage can occur if you continue to drive. If you have been doing this for a bit already, you could have caused damage to other components already. If you are saying the engine will not even crank for a while after it stalls, it is important to check to see if you perhaps have unburned fuel in a cylinder or more than one cylinder of the engine, causing it to not turn. Alternatively, you could have a starting system issue - perhaps your starter is intermittently not cranking the engine. In any case, hands on analysis of the misfire, the stalling and the no restart concern is vital. It's all guessing from my computer keyboard, so get a professional near you to have a look! https://repairpal.com/repair-shops/mitsubishi-repair-and-service-in-pearl-mississippi
Replace the crankshaft position sensor.. IF that don’t work - can always say it should have!
*Hands-on* testing prior to parts replacement is always a good idea - however it just seemed as if you really wanted an answer.. Replace the crank sensor.
