What is your question?
My anti lock light is on and staying on. The brakes seem to work fine. I have a very steep driveway and sometimes there is a slight burnt rubber smell after coming down the driveway (I have my foot on the brake while doing so) After some research it looks like it's probably an abs sensor is dirty or damaged. But would this cause the burning smell when coming down a steep hill? I just want to make sure all this is related so I don't fix one expensive part and then have another expensive problem. Thanks!

Have the ABS module scanned to find the fault with the ABS light.
My 1994 Diamante ES has had the ABS for 2 yrs now...why...well the emergency brake went first, due to having brake work done, apparently the ABS sensor on the hub is infamous for going bad every time you pull the wheels and mess with the brakes....My brakes work fine, they don't click and I'm positive the ABS is disabled. I have had to brake at high speeds and they worked fine.
The ABS on a 2001 effects more then the one on a 94. In most cases the brakes will function fine, but some newer car will have issues with other problems as well. Thanks for your help, but not all year models work the same.
