By no fire I assume you mean no ignition spark, let's see..... Timing belt ever been replaced?? Remove dist cap, have helper crank engine while you watch Distributor....rotor button rotating?
I had the same problem, I removed the distributor cap, checked the rotor and noticed the screw that holds the rotor in place on the shaft was missing, replaced the screw and everything worked fine.
You really need to read ALL of the information here!!!!! That's already been covered! Rookie: "Timing belt is fine,an checked the dis for proper function. Can you think of anything else?"
I did read ALL of it, I didn't see anything mentioned about checking for a loose or missing rotor screw. My rotor still rotated after a new distributor was installed but did not rotate correctly after a couple of weeks which is why I mentioned it. You need to calm down!! The answer I gave may or may not help this person but may help someone else later on.
You've posted that same answer for several other questions that doesn involve the distributor, it might have fixed your problem but not every other issue with this engine!!!.. calm has nothing to do with it!!
Oh, I understand, just because I had the same problem as they did my answer may not help them, that doesn't make sense. Whether or not it helps, it is something they can consider. I only stated my solution to people who had problems like I had. I had several codes while my van was running ok but it wouldnt pass inspection, the knock sensor was one of them. We tried several things, codes never went away. Then one day the van started running rough and wouldnt start, multiple things were checked but nothing helped, the distibutor was changed and over a thousand miles later there are no codes, everything is fine, runs like new. I would rather see answers to a problem that may or may not help than no answers at all.
Don't get me wrong, I appreciate people like yourself who try to help others. Not many people would take the time to answer questions. Keep up the good work!

Are you 'SURE' no spark is the problem?... IF so.. Possible crankshaft position sensor... **Strongly suggest** scan test before proceeding! Copy and paste link below:.. This the same vehicle as a Nissan Quest!!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D9DQWP8jAtc Good luck!
It's getting fuel everything else has tested fine.My neighbor tried to scan it but it wouldn't take on his scanner.
If the check engine light will come on it should communicate with scan tool... Test all fuses!
