put washer fluid in coolant resevoir do i need to drain

probably a qt. at least. Havent drove it should I drain just in case?

It sounds like you will worry if you don't , so yes , drain what's in the overflow and fill with coolant( I think we have already established that , now!). Trace amount that is left , won't do any harm.
