My water pump has gone out. The shop says I need a hose. what is it called?

Because I desperately need my car fixed. He simply called it the hose to the water pump. I only wanted to help locate it. Two people working towards one goal is better than leaving it all on one. Especially when it is so necessary. So DO you know the name of the hose I am looking for? and will you tell me?

I can ONLY guess 'by-pass' hose. May be best , for a few dollars difference in price (versus many times getting the wrong hose) to let the shop order & get the correct hose. Good luck. Any more information that's missing , could be of more help.
