What is your question?
could the rotors be machined instead of replaced?

Yes they can machined, my NAPA store charges 16.50 to do this and new rotors are 30.00$ . You have to realize that the rotors are thinner after cutting and can warp easier.
First thing - have the rotors measured and see if there is sufficient material available to resurface safely. As a rule of thumb, the minimum specification for thickness is stamped into the rotor on the inside. If you have enough thickness, they can indeed be machined.
