You did say if the key still turns the lock. well i 'll assume it doesn't , spray some lube in the key slot this might help. also push down on the trunk lid, was it packed with stuff? This will happen if you forced it closed!

mert, you unhooked clamps and the other end has tabs, you might have tug a little to pop it becareful it is plastic.

The fuel pump is in the tank. You must drop the tank down and unhook all the hoses and electrical connections , the tank has two straps holding it.

Its sounds like the pcm is not powering up. Check your fuses next.

You dont always have to change the drain plug gasket unless its torn or cracked, that gasket can last through many oil changes.

You need to ohm test the wire back to the pcm to see if it has continuity. If it does check to see if there is 5volt reference to your other sensors.
