What is your question?
This happens whenever I'm turning at low speed.

Sounds as if your car is equipped with ABS brakes. (Anti Skid Brake System). Electronic controled a speed sensor located at each wheel is most likely failing. With compatable scan equipment one can may be able to diagnose problem.
Is 4x4 active? Do this happen only when braking or when just turning hard on dry pavement,, wlthout braking?
Good questions- I just tried a slow turn without touching the brakes, and another with braking. Same thing happens, the skidding sound in forward or reverse, with or w/o brake. The car has AWD, so I don't know if the 4X4 works. A guy I trust wondered if a transfer case was bad, but I believe he said this vehicle has a front and a rear transfer case, and he would have to guess which one was bad, if he guessed wrong, $$$$$.
Most AWD systems work with same speed sensors that ABS system uses. Really one can only speculate ....you need a reliable tech. with the proper software to check both ABS/AWD systems. Pulling fault codes a test drive would be my first things to do if I was doing the diagnosis. Also the limited slip clutches can bind and chatter on tight turns in the rear differential. That could be what you are feeling...draining and refilling diffrential with fresh gear oil along with the limited slip oil addative at times can cure this. There again someone with experience can sometimes see what's going on with a simple test drive in a parking lot.
YOU HAVE A LIMITED SLIP DIFFERENTIAL TO AID TRACTION. WHEN TURNING IT HAS TO SLIP INTERNALLY OR SKID THE TIRES. IT IS NOTICEABLE AT LOW SPEED, BUT NOT WHEN MOVING FASTER.
There are additives that can be used to loosen the clutches. You could completely change the differential oil and include the additive when refilling.
Thanks. I went to the local auto parts & supply store. The have gear oil that says it has anti-skid additives in it. Is this what I should use for a drain and refill?
The additive is usually called LS additive, but some may have a different name. The oils that contain the additive may do the job, but sometimes additional additive is needed. If you go to amsoil.com/sliplock there is a good explanation of the limited slip differentials and the need for special oils.
Question. I have a 2wd 2004 Ram1500 that is skidding turning into parking spots also. Any suggestions?
Thanks, the ABS light has been on (forever), never got it fixed, figured an ABS module would cost $800.
Rare thing that module fails.....its worth having checked.
