Car wont run good and 4wd low light on

What is your question?

Went to shift into drive and shifted rough then would barely run 4wd low light came on and I'm not sure if its the trans or could be something else.

What makes this problem better or worse?

IF the transfer case has indeed shifted into LOW RANGE - Top speed for the vehicle is GREATLY REDUCED .. Refer to the owners manual for guidance in changing the 4 wheel drive selections.
