I have a 2007 Mercury Montego the tail light on the passenger side went out I bought a used one it's compatible but another mechanic said that eventually it will burn up the wiring is this true or is there another way that this can be fixed without buying a brand new assembly

Kudos to the mechanic with the CRYSTAL BALL is all I can add.. Did this mechanic have any idea how long it would take for wiring to burn up?

How did it work out for you? I know this thread is old but I was curious on how it turned out. And by the way, I have two Assembly’s (used) driver and passenger side tail lights. LEDs all work fine if you’re interested and both assemblies are reasonably priced. Contact info: zacmem@icloud.com
