Are hinges for the trunk different if it is a convertible. Top will not open.

Do you have the cover in the trunk pulled back and on the catches. It the cover isn't closed between the bottom part of the trunk and the space where the the top folds into the top will do everything but go down (or up). You will hear the motor sounding like it's working. If you have a manual it is detailed in the top instructions. Had the same situation at the car wash. It wouldn't go up and then I remembered the pull back separator. :)
