Do you have evidence that the fuel system is at fault here? I don't know of any manufacturer recommended additives for fuel systems - especially these modern direct injected gasoline fuel systems. There are many aftermarket products available, but most manufacturers discourage use of them. I would reach out to a local Mercedes Benz dealership service and parts department to see what their experience is.
Probably need to concentrate more on cause of cylinder 3 misfire.
I have replaced spark plug and coil for cylinder 3. They recommended to add 44K by BG to clean fuel system.
IF # 3 cylinder has been confirmed as the culprit and # 3 is still misfiring - ignition spark is indeed sufficient - - testing compression and fuel injector operation is next step. As far as any fuel additive - it’s not going to hurt anything - however it’s not likely going to help anything either.. Good luck!
I don't think I do have evidence that the fuel system is at fault but is it too early to replace spark plug and coil? My car is 46000 miles.
