The radio in my Mercedes keeps turning on and off. Is there a simple fix/reset?

What is your question?

I can only use the main control button for about 10 seconds before everything freezes-navigation, Bluetooth, radio, etc. The radio turns off for 3 seconds then goes back on.

Check with dealer , may be a software update that could affect the system.......Warranty?

Thanks - I am bringing it in, but was hoping for a quick solution. I definitely will check the warranty. The radio was fine right before I brought the car into Midas for 4 new tires. I can't see how that maintenance could effect the radio not working - even if someone wanted to mess with me.

did you ever get this fixed? Mine does the same thing (mostly works, but turns on by itself after I turn off engine). I "fixed" it by taking out COMAND fuse in trunk. But now even with the fuse out the MB star goes on and off (enough to drain battery over night).

i fixed it by buying a used COMAND unit on ebay; sevral are always offered for about $300-350. Just make sure it's the right year. good luck! DrKraut
