Went to have AutoZone use their tool to check why the check engine light is on in my 1994 Mercedes-Benz e320, they didn't know where to plug in.

What makes this problem better or worse?

indicator light stays on.

1994 is non OBD2 compliant - *professional scan testing* will be required ... Parts stores are not equipped.
