2006MBZ CLS500 BATTERY LIGHT STYAY ON - ALTENATOR REPLACED CHARGING 14.4V BATTER

Hello, the 14.4 volts sounds like a good output, but what is the amperage output? You can have 14.4 volts and 2 amps -- instead of 70-90 amps minimum with the engine at 2500 RPM. A "new" alternator may not be working properly. However, the wiring connector to the alternator could also be suspect and should be inspected closely for terminals that may be damaged or melted.

Poor quality replacement alternator!
