What is your question?
i'm not the only one whose c350 has run out of gas due to the gas gauge being wrong! why is this? how much to fix it? why is it not a recall? it is dangerous to suddenly run out of gas when your car tells you you have 100 miles worth of fuel left, and the gauge is above 1/4 tank. anyone?

the fuel sender is most likely bad.it's the float/switch,and is part of the fuel pump module assembly, located in the fuel tank and must be replaced as a whole unit.all it's for is letting you know how much fuel you have in the tank.no recalls,no reported problems.some just go out on all makes, models.fords,chevys,toyotas,bmws.fuel tank will have to be removed,if fixin it,or just keep it full of gas, cause your pump is still working.
