Any time you jump start a car or remove and hook up a new battery, it is going to spark. I am wondering if there is a fuse some where that I cannot find or checked. It just seems like there is no power to the display, which is why the command button does not work to change radio stations and the radio station number is not showing up on the main display, when you switch from mileage over to radio. Also when you go to phone
, it has dashes and does not say no bluetooth or phone available.
Oh yes it will spark if not disconnected and reconnected correctly.and also there is a correct way to hook jumper cables to the dead battery and the good battery.if you don't do it this way, sure you will see sparks(voltage spike).then you also have the hook em up backwards people that fry their computers and no telling what else, which i see a lot on this site from not paying attention,or maybe think it don't matter! you always unhook the negative 1st,then positive last.hooking back up is positive 1st,negative last, not one spark.when jump starting, this is the correct and only safe way>>1st connection is hook one RED cable end to pos on bad battery,2nd is hook other RED cable end to positive on good battery,3rd is hook black negative cable end to good battery negative battery terminal,4th is to hook other black negative battery cable to a good metal section, engine block, strut bolt, any good metal ground,NOT TO THE BATTERY TERMINAL! start the good car, wait 5 minutes, start the dead car.i don't know who put your battery in,but if the dealer didn't program the new battery to your car then it still thinks the old one is in it.you will start having problems one after another and will be lucky if that new battery last one year.
