What is your question?
Alright so my Mercedes C300 has 120k miles. Very infrequently I would notice a very slight shake in the front end of the vehicle and it did get worse with speeds but was also noticeable at 10mph. Today, I was drifting in the snow and transferred onto dry pavement being stupid. Then, about 10 minutes into my 20 minute drive home the car started experiencing a very violent shake and basically was u safe to go over 40mph. And prior to this I did have a CEL I have not yet gotten a chance to check. Basically, it's causing the car to idle rough but it doesn't ever stall. Think I bent something in suspension such as axle? Or do you think i possibly have really bad misfiring issue and it's on most cylinders causing the violent shake and the inconsistency? Have a WRX as well that had a misfire such as that before and it was the connectors from ignition wiring into coil packs and Caused a violent shake. Will have CEL checked ASAP. Sorry the the story. Wanted to be specific so u have all the info

Hello, you most definitely have more than one thing occurring here. Your check engine light diagnostic testing will reveal one set of issues, and your vibration concern likely is steering or suspension or drive train related and will need specific attention. It is too hard to know without hands on testing, slow speed vibrations could be as simple as a bad tire or wheel, or as complex as an axle shaft vibration. Do not continue to drive this vehicle until it is checked out - your check engine light concerns may be causing additional damage as you continue driving.
I will add an engine misfire will certainly cause the vehicle to have a jerking or shaking sensation - and is quite possibly intermittent.
Well just wait a little while - the “shaking†will return as soon as the misfire does! At this point all I can add is > GOOD LUCK TO YA!
Okay so the code is P0410 & it’s for “secondary air injection systemâ€. So I guess that tells me I do have both that and a suspension issue. My next question would be, why has the suspension issue become much less noticeable and I can now drive 55 without issues again. Slight shake for sure but not violent at all. What piece could it be that wouldn’t have a consistent bad shake?
Is this a 4Matic model, all wheel drive? Cannot say for sure, and testing must be performed, but the air pump switch over valve may not be holding vacuum, causing air injection issues. Do not guess at this though; testing must be performed. I do not believe, however, that this is causing your vibration concern. Your vibration is concerning -- check your tires very closely -- have them removed and put on a balancer machine to see if a tire may be out of round causing a vibration. If you've used fix-a-flat to repair a tire, it can cause a vibration from a tire if not removed and repaired properly. Hands on diagnostic testing is required. Too much guesswork without seeing the car. Axle shaft, tire, wheel -- hard to say without testing.
Okay so the shaking I’m positive was just a big chunk of ice somewhere that has now fallen off cause the shake is completely gone. It is the 4matic model. Can the air pump issue be causing my rough idol? And how would I test this switch?
Yes, ice can cause out of balance scenarios. There is a testing procedure published in the shop manual for testing this system. It is more than can be explained or published here. If you are someone who wants to dig into diagnostic testing and repair and has proper test equipment and a little experience, you can acquire your own shop manual information via web sites such as www.alldatadiy.com or similar. Other than that, you'll want to enlist a qualified local technician. Good luck.
