Feels Like I've Been Hit from Behind

What is your question?

Recently, I noticed that something may be loose or sliding around fore to aft. When I come to a stop, it feels like someone hit me mildly from behind...OR it feels like a heavy item in my trunk sliding and slamming forward. Any ideas?
