Coolant light intermittently comes on, added more coolant and water and drove for about 3 months when light came on again. Refilled but this time I notice slow water leakage. Car wouldn't start next day then started a few days later. Notice water leaks only after car is driven. Stopped driving it for now.

Leaks near the front are usually radiator, could just be a hose leaking. Not starting is unrelated unless coolant got onto something electrical, unlikely with a small leak, but possible. Pop the hood with the engine cold and look for traces of the leak, they should be visible. You may have to find it underneath wherever it's been dripping and follow it up. If you still can't find it then start the engine and wait for it to drip and trace it up.

Thank you for the response. I looked at the cap and the rubber gasket inside of cap was torn and in bad shape. Bought a new cap didn't work. Only leaks when engine is turned off immediately after running it. Can't tell if its leaking from radiator or water pump, but still doesn't overheat. I left it running for 30 min idling and watched with no leak until I turn engine off. My mechanic is out of town so I guess I wait until he can check :(
Leaks after turning it off, that sounds more like a water pump. He may be out of town, but at least you have someone you can call "your mechanic"; could be worse.
You are correct. It's the water pump. Husband got under the car with a flashlight and found the culprit. Radiator hose also worn. Thanks! Now Off to order parts, just glad it's not something more $ .
