I had to hit my brakes hard today to avoid hitting a dog. My brake pedal went all the way to the floor after that. I took car to local mechanic and he bled the brakes but the pedal still goes to the floor. I am afraid to drive it this way.

Master cylinder has failed internally - - Replacement required.
Otherwise it’s a ruptured brake line - however that should be very obvious - - brake fluid would be spraying out as pedal is depressed.
