Has been happening for a month. Battery light would come on after driving 2 or 3 miles. Excellent battery. All symptoms of an alternator problem, checked by 2 separate mechanics. Had the alternator replaced but the battery light is still coming on. Machanic said that sometime in the future that Valve Cover Gasket should be replaced. I am very cognizant of my car, it sounds and smells, as I was raised by a grandfather that owned his own service station. I haven't noticed anything unusual except for the battery light.
What makes this problem better or worse?
Battery light comes on when engine warms up.
How long has your 2002 Mazda Tribute had this problem?
