Do i need a 7.56in sway bar link or a 10.5in sway bar link on my 2000 mazda protege lx

(Amateur here) Shopping for sway bar links for my 2000 mazda protege LX. Ive seen different sizes like 7.56in and 10.5in. I went under there and measured and the ones that are broken (front) are 7.56in. A 10.5 in would also fit by moving the sway bar itself. Is it possible they were too short to begin with and thats why they broke off? Or should i stick with 7.56?
