Ok let’s see here - first installed aftermarket mounts which didn’t help - (understandable) .... Next installed Mazda mounts which didn’t help ...... Original Equipment Manufactures parts do not come in different levels of quality - so how did the garage pull this one off? Now I must assume there is some vibration and noise associated with this issue which certainly could be caused by a failed engine or transmission mount - which would be more / less pronounced from forward gear to reverse gear - that’s all reasonable and common symptoms. I have to wonder if ALL failed mounts were actually replaced AND if they were actually from MAZDA.
Here’s how to test for problematic engine mount(s) : Using floor jack with block of wood set under oil pan so the engine can be *carefully* lifted just a ‘tiny bit’.. Does this eliminate the noise and vibrations ? ⚠️ Strongly recommend having an experienced mechanic perform this test ⚠️ Good luck!
