might have to change ABS control unit,do I need some special gadget for this?

old battery died ,have not used van for a month, my son made a mistake connecting poles when he was jumping the battery. I bought new bat., found main fuse blown. ABS fuse OK. Tried connecting pos. and neg. cable together (away from the bat.) for 30 min. Blinking stopped but returned after 10 min. driving the van.

That's kinda what I figured .. Before doing anything else .. Using a 12 volt test light .. TEST 'every fuse' you can find on the vehicle with the key on .. Touch test light tip to each side of each fuse .. If test light lights up on one side of the fuse it should light up on the other side of the fuse .. That's every fuse in every fuse box! .. Testing takes like 5 minutes and is well worth the time spent.

Did exactly what you suggested, found 1 busted fuse(15a room) replaced it and WHALAH ! blinking GONE !! Thank you very much.
