Blown headgasket

Hello, this site can't weigh in on "resale value" - just maintenance and repair questions. Off the record, a vehicle that has a major mechanical concern like a head gasket failure (if that's indeed what is wrong) pretty much nullifies any other "value" the vehicle may have.
