oil consumtion is my only issue . burns up to 3 quarts within 5000 miles . getting expeceive for a newer car under 30k miles.

Vehicle is under warranty, have you visited the Mazda dealer about this problem?

POSSIBLE that is within 'normal' consumption rate. Honda spec is 1 quart per 1,000 miles. That being said , it is your responsibility to check the oil LEVEL (owners manual probably still says every fill-up). The oil change interval has increased on many makes models , going well past the old 3 months or 3,000 miles standard. MOST Hondas do NOT use nearly that much , but as far as their engineering and warranty claims go , that is what they have as a limit. Mazda may be far different , so as recommended prior , see the dealer(and you might want to crack the owners manual).
