Try leaving park brake off and see what it does... One rear wheel can spin while the other is locked from sticking or freezing park brake cables.. It is worse in wet conditions and then freezing temperatures @ night.... Just give it a try... Let me know how it turns out..
When I put it 4x4 it breaks free, doesn't happen when temps are above freezing. When it breaks free it makes a loud noise coming from the front of the truck. I will try your suggestion though.
Exactly!... That's my point... When it's in 4x4 it has the power//extra traction to overcome the sticking park brake... Just try what I suggested and see what happens... Good luck with it, happy holidays! .. One more thing, the "loud noise coming from the front" is likely the 'centrifugal' auto locking hubs engaging as it is trying to move the truck with brake sticking...when truck try's to move..'centrifugal' locking front hubs engage into 4x4 mode..with noise... Then "it breaks free"..
My truck won't move, then suddenly brakes free. I used 80-90 gear oil. It was about a quart low when I filled it
Do you apply the parking brake each time it's parked overnight? .. Any unusual noise while driving?
Yes, but if it's not in 4 wheel drive the back wheels will spin. No noise when driving.
