97 MAZDA B-2300 SE , 4 CYLINDER I CHANGED THE FUEL PUMP AND THE FILTER, I KEEP BLOWING THE FUSE , WHICH THAT FUSE AND THAT RELAY BOTH CONTROL THE POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODUAL , AND THE FUEL PUMP. THE FUEL PUMP IS ONLY PULLING 5.6 AMPS , EVEN WHEN I REV UP THE R.P.M.S TO 3000.. THE AMPERAGE STAYS THE SAME. NOW WHEN I DRIVE IT IN FIRST GEAR , EVERY THING FEELS FINE. YET , AS SOON , AS SOON AS I SHIFT INTO 2ND GEAR THE 20AMP FUSE BLOWS. THIS PATTERN DOES NOT CHANGE. I SHIFT INTO 2ND AT ABOUT 2500 RPMS THE AMPERAGE TO THE FUEL PUMP SHOULD NOT CHANGE. SO IM ASUMIMG ITS SOMETHING ELSE.
