Does a pitman arm wear out?

My 1995 mazda B2300 wanders side to side. The only thing I can find loose is where the pitman arm connects to the steering box. The nut and shaft on the steering box do not appear to move when I shake the tires side to side. Just the arm moves. 100k on the truck. All tie rod ends and components appear tight and no play in them .

How long has your 1995 Mazda B2300 had this problem?
