Roaring when above 40 mph

What is your question?

Bought car today.......on the highway coming home. I had to turn the radio volume up to hear it because of the roaring as though I had snow tires on, and also like I was driving with the windows down.

How long has your 2009 Mazda 5 had this problem?

Are snow tires studded? .... Should to swap snow tires out for less aggressive treaded tires - as in all season. Can always have snow tires re-installed later.

I don't have snow tires on.....it just sounds like it......a continuous roar as though I had Windows Dow......and just like the sound of snow tires.

Suspect failing wheel / hub bearing - OR - â€˜scallopedâ€™ tire tread - possibly both. *Hands-on* inspection required - also recommend having *mechanic* test drive vehicle.
