What is your question?
This happened three times, when the steering wheel was in the lowest position, but when I put the steering wheel in the highest position, the radio worked again. However, this week, the radio was working with the steering wheel in the lowest position, until yesterday, when it stopped working, and changing the steering wheel position would not solve the problem. Could this be a loose wire or a fuse problem?
What makes this problem better or worse?
Initially, raising the steering wheel fixed it, but not now.
How long has your 2008 Mazda 5 had this problem?
About a month

Moving the steering wheel wouldn’t make any difference if a fuse was the problem. Suspect a wiring problem in the steering wheel / column or a ‘clock spring failure’.. (Assuming there are steering wheel mounted audio controls)
