this is almost always caused by a severe vacuum leak. They usually happen at the rubber elbows and connectors that supply large vacuum pipes for things like the PCV and brake booster. Listen for the HISSING noise with the engine running and follow it to it's source. They are usually well hidden on the bottom side of manifolds and throttle bodies. engine has to be running because the vacuum sucks a hole right through the connector that closes up when the engine shuts off.look and listen,and you should find it.Vacuum hose is cheap!! you can do this!!
