there is a recall on the passenger side frontal airbag issued 5-31-2016.Recall Number 16V384000..yours may be included in this recall.don't believe they can sell you the car if the inspection is past due on it. 2009 Lincoln MKZ Recalls | Cars.com https://www.cars.com/recalls/lincoln-mkz-2009
